Time to Care Respite Day Program
When: Every Wednesday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Where: Worcester Senior Center
What: Individuals living with dementia and their caregivers now have the opportunity to benefit from a respite day program. Participants will enjoy activities, lunch, and the company of their peers and trained staff. Caregivers will also enjoy a break from the stress of caregiving. Caregiver Support Group
When: 3rd Wednesday of every month, 10:15 am - 11:30 am
Where: Worcester Senior Center
What: Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to: develop a support system, exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, learn about community resources, and share feelings, needs and concerns. Making Connections Memory Café
When: 3rd Tuesday of every month, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Where: Worcester Senior Center
What: A Memory Café is a monthly gathering of individuals with memory loss along with their caregivers, and/or friends and family in a safe, supportive and engaging environment. The café is open to anyone in the community, at any stage of the disease process. It is a time to socialize, enjoy each other’s company and have a good time, with refreshments, entertainment, and activities. RSVPs to Deb Dowd Foley (ddfoley@eswa.org or 508-756-1545) are appreciated but not required. There is no cost to attend.
